For the entirety of Gwen Shamblin Lara's time in ministry, she has emphasized, treasured, taught, and upheld the words of Jesus Christ, the Apostles, and the Prophets - ALL of their words. This means that she has never glossed over the charges from Genesis to Revelation that speak of God requiring PURITY - total devotion - to Him in order to truly be one of His children. That Message has become unpopular in mainstream churches in this generation, but nevertheless, Gwen has pressed on with this FULL Bible Message. The fantastic news about this is that it is producing completely changed lives and a Church full of people who indeed ARE totally devoted to God. Gwen has always reminded everyone of the passage in I Corinthians 5 that referred to the Church in the Apostle Paul's day being so PURE that they only needed to expel ONE immoral brother. The Church was so pure that only ONE person was caught up in ongoing sin. What did the Church do about that? This lesson and video brings to light the doctrine of disfellowship, and Gwen does an amazing job of carefully, lovingly, gently, but firmly explaining that when a brother or sister in Christ decides that they would rather continue in sin that clean up their hearts and lives for God, it then becomes time for separation from that person, away from the Church. How is this done? Watch this video and you will be both moved and encouraged that it actually is the most LOVING thing to do - for GOD and for that person caught up in sin - to draw a clear line of distinction between what is pure and what is not pure. This gives the person a chance to see what they are doing to God, and it prayerfully and eventually gives them hope for repentance. Praise God for a Message, Messenger, and Church that does not muddy the clear, living waters of Truth.
