Early summer has long been known as a busy “wedding season,” filled with ceremonies of different varieties and celebrations in many forms. Gwen and Joe have shared a number of personal experiences with us—devotionals, vacations, time spent with family and friends—but among their favorite things to host and attend are wedding “blessing showers!” Different than more traditional bridal showers or other pre-wedding festivities, Remnant Fellowship blessing showers are loving and emotional gatherings, a time for showering blessings—through words and prayers—upon the groom and the bride, typically a day or two ahead of their covenant wedding ceremony. Members of the wedding party, family members, and church leaders speak of the couple’s commitment to God and His Kingdom while also praying God’s favor upon the bride and groom as they begin their life together. The evening is always a demonstration of the incredible closeness of God’s people. Hearing the words of those who know the couple best is such an encouragement for them, as well as a reminder for all in attendance about the hope we hold for the next generation as these young adults move forward to the next chapter of serving God together even more powerfully than they had as individuals! Join Gwen and Joe for a peek inside a Remnant Fellowship blessing shower, and visit the Remnant Fellowship Weddings website (www.remnantfellowshipweddings.com) for more insight into what makes these events unlike any you have ever attended! There is hope for the next generation to establish lasting marriages built on the solid foundation of God and His Truth, and it is an amazing sight to behold!
