Giving God Your Wait
Constant Encouragement

The ability to wait is nearly lost on today’s “instant gratification” society, but patience is a fruit of the Spirit of God (Galatians 5:22). We have a tendency to want results immediately, even when it comes to finding this relationship with God. How can we expect instantaneous results, though, when we have delayed our obedience to a God who has been more than patient in waiting for us to let go of our stubborn will?
God does ask us to wait on Him—wait on His lead, wait on His direction, wait on His Spirit to lead in the direction He wants us to go. If we will not wait, giving in to our stubborn will instead, we risk encountering the “fierce lion” of God’s displeasure. On the other hand, those who wait on the Lord will find a relationship with Him that brings weight loss, better health, restored relationships and blessings untold.
This audio—part of the Constant Encouragement Series, Year 2 Volume 15—is a powerful message from Gwen Shamblin Lara that points out the Scriptures making God’s nature clear toward those who insist on their own stubborn way and, conversely, His Love and blessing on those who will give Him their “wait”. Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength, indeed (Isaiah), and will find a gracious God waiting to welcome them into His loving arms of healing, forgiveness and mercy!
